Believe it or not, but photography and other types of art really help the planet.
How, though?
Some people, possibly many, in this world, really want to help it in any way they can. This might not only be through supporting and cleaning the environment: it could be through helping children, reducing poverty and providing food, preventing discrimination, etc. But some might feel like the only way is through engineering or speaking up, and it might not be their thing or something their interested about.
But in truth, that's not the only way to spread your thoughts to the world and to help the planet. Many people spread their ideas through art. Whether it's writing a book or taking pictures and videos or painting something, you can actually use these skills and passions to change the world for the better.
Okay, let's start with photography.
Photography gives us a very real visual perspective of what's going on in our world and the results of our actions that contribute to climate change.
These people are like message - carriers, and whether it's a personal mission or something bigger, either way, they still go out all over the world to take shocking photos and videos to deliver evidence and urgent messages to the public for climate action. Whether it's by capturing videos of glaciers quickly melting, taking pictures of poor communities struggling for clean water, or by showing animals coming into contact with harmful waste, photography is a ringing bell for people, and can change the minds of many who deny this.
Next is by writing. This is another great influence. Whether it's by writing poems or spreading ideas through blogs (like this) or creating newspaper articles or writing stories based on a lesson that your main focus is on, the environment in this case, you can share your thoughts and feelings about the environment out to the world and captivate and motivate readers to take action on this mission.
This is just like photography and has the same sort of mission, but is communicated in a different way, through words. Some people might not be excellent artists or want to go all over the world to take pictures and videos. But they might still have this strong mission and goal in mind to communicate climate action to the general public, and not only that, but promote and suggest solutions.
Not only that, but sometimes, it might be difficult to absorb the fact that humans could cause and worsen such an infinite effect on the world compared to us. People can get stressed out and confused over such an uncertain, strange subject. But to prevent people from denying this and to help this make more sense and calm people so they know what to do, we need people to deliver a strong, evidence - filled message, and a great way to do that, especially to influence people who have power to make big changes, such as politicians, is to write and share positive, clear information to the world to digest and take action on.
Finally, other types of art. This includes vlogs, channels, paintings, sketches, sculptures, etc.
These are other visual representations and both modern and old techniques to communicate a good - intentioned, revolutionizing concept to viewers and the overall audience.
Today, social media is a big influence on people, and millions, if not billions, of people use it. So, if you create something like a YouTube channel, a social online community, or some sort of vlog page based on an inspiring and motivational subject and promote it a lot, you're sure to get a lot of viewers and subscribers. This results in better communication to the world about a topic you really care about and you would soon be able to connect to a community of people just like you all over the world who care about the same subject and want to do something as well.
Another thing is paintings, sketches, and sculptures, or any type of physical art that expresses and visualizes something. You could literally draw anything to communicate ideas and feelings. It could be the same things that photography helps visualize, but in a more personal perspective, and the drawing could convey a stressed importance from the artist, to show the struggling, the acting, and the beauty of wildlife and nature.
To conclude, arts such as photography, writing, drawing, vlogging, etc., can really influence and bring out the message of such an urgent topic in this world. Many people can follow their artistic passions this way and also help the Earth in a beautiful way.
