Nature -- And Its Importance

Updated: Jun 24, 2024

The answer to why we should care for the environment is simple. It's because there's climate change. It's because of too much pollution that increases global warming. It's because if we don't take action, many species would eventually become extinct. That we have to protect our future generations. That we have to make our environment sustainable.

There are so many reasons why.

But forget the climate change and global warming for a minute: why is nature important? Why do we want nature? What's so special about it?

Well, this answer is not as simple -- it varies from person to person. For one person, it might be that it's our home, and, even if we do get a Planet B, life on it would never be as beautiful, interesting and plentiful as it is on Earth.

For another person, it might be different: maybe that it's a soothing place to live, possibly even the calmest and best conditioned planet in millions of galaxies.

And for yet another, it might be the animals that are important. Nature provides us with a full variety of animals and plants, keeping the cycle of life alive, feeding us, and, well, allowing us to create special lifelong bonds and friendships with animals we wouldn't have created anywhere else out there in the Milky Way.

And, lastly, for even more, it's a home to all species and organisms including us on Earth. It tries its best to help and support all of us, by absorbing as much carbon dioxide as it can, providing as many materials as we could possibly wish for -- but when you come to think about it, Earth -- nature -- has a limit. Everything does. So if we keep cutting down trees -- if we keep killing too many animals unnecessarily -- if we keep polluting our environment and don't at least make any effort in helping our home, our neighboring species, our planet -- we would cause destruction and terror and make our future worse.

So if, instead of destructing our world, we grow more plants, pollute less, eat more flexitarian and vegetarian, use sustainable energy and materials, do the three R's more, compost more and trash less, and be creative to fulfill our mission together to build a greener world and to help nature and Earth, we would reduce the effects of climate change by a lot. And we have to do this before it's too late. Don't wait for the change, act for the change.

For our future generations, our pets, our animals, our trees, our reservoirs, our air, our land, and, most importantly, for our Earth, let's change the world for a cleaner planet: together.
